Cello Studio Policies
Welcome to my Cello Studio!
I'm so glad that you have decided to learn this incredible instrument! The cello is big and bulky, and sometimes tough to carry around, but with practice and persistence, you will grow to love the sounds that you can play on it. Below, I have listed some policies and expectations for you as we begin lessons together. Feel free to call me if you ever have any questions regarding the contents of our lessons.
- Lessons are 30 minutes per week at a rate of $30 per lesson, or 45 minutes per week at a rate of $40 per lesson, or 60 minutes a week at a rate of $50 per lesson. A $10 travel fee may apply. Rates are subject to change.
- Please arrive 5 minutes before the lesson and expect to stay 5 minutes afterwards.
- Lesson tuition is due monthly, at the end of the first lesson of every month. Checks may be made payable to Joyful Sound Musik. If you choose to pay by credit card, a monthly invoice will be emailed to you and will direct you to a secure website where you can pay on-line. A transaction fee will be applied. Late payments will incur a fee of $15 per week.
- Should you need to cancel your lesson for the week, please call me at least 24 hours in advance. Lessons cancelled on the day of or without notice will not be rescheduled or refunded.
- Should I need to cancel a lesson, another lesson time will be rescheduled within an appropriate time frame, or, the lesson will be refunded.
- At least 20 minutes of practice time per day is expected of the beginning student. As the student progresses, more practice time will be assigned.
- Always bring your cello, your music and any practice materials with you to your lesson.
